Free your mind: Financial Wellbeing supports employee productivity

New services from TPC and the MLP School of Financial Education

TPC and the MLP School of Financial Education (MLP SoFE) offer a large portfolio of financial education training for employers, including topics such as financial literacy, behavioral economics, and corporate retirement planning for HR managers. In addition, seminars can be designed specifically to meet the needs of companies.

In addition to pure financial education training, MLP SoFE has developed offerings in cooperation with the digital education provider BG3000 that combine financial and digital education for young professionals. Among other things, these courses teach people how to navigate the web safely or how to make the best use of well-known platforms. These offerings can also be tailored to the specific needs of the companies or customized individually.

In addition, MLP SoFE, in cooperation with TPC, offers seminars for HR managers in companies under the heading “HR-Impulse”, on topics such as value accounts or occupational pension benefits.

Benefits for employers

The seminars help employers fulfill their duty of care toward employees, present their own company benefits in the best possible light, and position themselves as attractive employers.

HR managers receive comprehensive knowledge through “HR-Impulse” seminars, which enables them to optimize both the HR strategic effectiveness and the business efficiency of the resources used.

Why is employee financial education relevant to employers in the first place and why does it offer them added value?

Many companies are focusing on the topic of wellbeing more intensively, partly as a result of the experiences in the Corona crisis, which goes beyond the efforts of company health and reintegration management – both of which are enshrined in law.
Wellbeing programs no longer centre only on immediate protection against hazards, accidents or illness, but include other factors that contribute to complete physical, mental and social well-being:

  • Physical performance: understanding one’s own health status, improving health and lifestyle, recognizing and dealing with illnesses and accidents
  • Emotional balance: self-understanding of mental health and maintenance of mental health, coping with life crises
  • Social network: definition and expansion of a network of relationships in which, for example, conflicts can be discussed and alternatives explored
  • Financial well-being: Planning and implementation of short-term as well as long-term financial security: in retirement, in the event of unemployment, illness, loss of continued pay, support in dealing with debt.

Studies indicate a “return on prevention” when wellbeing offerings are used which can be seen in the reduction of sickness-related production losses and employee absenteeism. In addition, employees rate a company as particularly attractive and modern if it offers them exciting opportunities for further training and development.
